Error: #NAME? displays due to unrecognized name in formula.
Error:
#NAME?
Cause:
The function or the range name entered in the formula is not recognized by Excel. The problem also occurs when there is a space between the last character of the function name and the first parenthesis.
Solution:
Make sure there are no spaces in the formula. Review the names defined in the workbook, if necessary. Type the correct function or range name in the formula.
To review all the names defined in the workbook:
1) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Name'. (A submenu opens.)
2) Select 'Define...' from the submenu. (The Define Name dialog box appears with all the names that are already defined.)
3) Click 'Close' to close the 'Define Name' dialog box after reviewing the names.
